Serve Roanoke is July 21-24, 2025

We are excited to Serve Roanoke and share the love of Christ with those in our community. Scroll down to see what opportunities there are as well as to register for days and events you would like to help with.

  • Kitchen: Prepare and serve a hot meal with the Mission’s shelter and community guests.

    Donations Center: Did you know the Rescue Mission operates two retail stores that are solely based on donations? We will help sort through donations and assist on the sales floor.

  • Basketball Camp is a clinic that seeks to teach basic skills to children interested in the game! The camp is for rising 1st grade through rising 5th grade.

    July 21-24 9:30-11:30 (CSBC Gym). Cost: $30

  • Whether through singing or encouragement you should consider joining us at one of four nursing homes throughout the week.

  • Soccer Nights is a weeklong soccer clinic that seeks to provide quality soccer instruction for children interested in the game! The camp is for rising K through rising 6th grade.

    July 21-24 6:30-8:00pm (Darrell Shell).

  • This camp is designed for Mom's and their Preschool children to do together. Elementary age children are welcome to attend with their mom and siblings. Please register each child who will be attending. Elementary age children must have a preschool age sibling attending.

  • Is technology hard at times? No worries join us for this free class on Monday to learn how to use tech well!

  • GOD IS USING LOVE LIFE TO AWAKEN THE CHURCH. THIS ISN'T PRO LIFE ACTIVISM IT IS CHRISTIANITY 101. IT IS LOVING OUR NEIGHBOR AS WE LOVE OURSELVES. WHOLE FAMILIES ARE BEING MOVED FROM INSIDE THE FOUR WALLS OF THE CHURCH INTO THE FRONTLINES OF THE MISSION FIELD IN THEIR CITIES.

    Join us for a Church Prayer Walk alongside Love Life.

  • Clean Valley Council’s mission is to encourage environmental stewardship and lead the way towards a sustainable tomorrow by educating and inspiring those around us. We’ll be cleaning streets near CSBC.

  • The mission and purpose of Straight Street is to provide a positive Christian environment where at-risk* youth can go and obtain the necessary skills and training needed to mature and to discover God’s Divine plan for their lives.

  • The Least of These Ministries (TLOT): Working within the community to meet needs of the homeless in the Roanoke Valley. We will purchase/prepare lunch to feed approximately 75 people while they wait to ​take a shower.

    Ministry Partners: We prepare and serve lunch for our ministry partners: Blue Ridge Christian Counseling and Masterpiece Alliance.

  • Healing strides is an equine assisted activities and therapy programs. We will be helping to build a new trail to be used by riders in the program.

  • Every year we love our Free Car wash! We will have it all four days of Serve ROA this year! Let your neighbors know.

  • Friendship House Roanoke, is committed to working alongside local Christian churches to faithfully serve the surrounding neighborhood with the teaching, grace and mercy found in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • The Hill Church’s name is taken from Psalm 121:1-2. This ascent Psalm is intended to cause its reader to take courage. However, the object of the courage is not in the hill or the mountain. The object of our courage is knowing our help comes from the Lord Himself, which is made clear in the second verse.

    Join us as we help restore their new church building in several construction-related opportunities.

  • Join us as we help clean up many of he parks in our community. Many hands make light work!

  • Their vision is that no person with a disability has to live life in society’s margins. We will be hosting a block party where friends of all abilities will gather to enjoy an evening of fun and fellowship.

  • Join us for Building Blocks: God is the Builder of Everything. Rising kindergarten- 5th grade children are welcome!

  • Participating in a blood drive is a simple yet powerful way to help save lives. Donating blood supports patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatment, or recovering from accidents. As a part of Serve Roanoke this year, we will host a blood mobile. This is a great way to give back to our community and support local hospitals.
